What if we start from this place: all of us are made in the image of God?
There are thousands of denominations, millions of Christians, and billions of people. Our divisions are often talked about and mentioned, often before anything else. But what if we start from this basic point that all of us are made in the image of God. If we start from this position, everything else changes. Rather than ‘odd’ or ‘wrong’ or ‘ugly’ or (insert word of choice), everyone we see is created in the image of The Divine.
This is a core tenent of the faith. It’s one of the most inspiriing pieces of the story, but we often forget it, or forget to mention it.
We need to take this back. For, if we cannot see the image of God in our brother or sister, we have truly missed the point.
