This Week's Thoughts...13

  • One way we could get all the people in the world to get along is to throw them in a room together (maybe with some booze) and just give them time.  Most people with whom I have differences, I've come to enjoy and appreciate simply by spending time with them.
  • It would be crazy if Hillary Clinton gets the nomination, and then is federally indicted, so has to give it up.  Why is this not in the news more?
  • And, the sitting president endorsing a candidate facing indictment seems like a conflict of interest.
  • Speaking of endorsements, Curry's shoes are pretty bad.  And very overpriced.
  • GAME 7!!!
  • I want LeBron to win one for Cleveland so bad.  He has been in beast mode the past two games, and I cannot wait to see how he operates tomorrow, in game seven, playing for a championship for Cleveland.  I'm trying not to get overhyped.
  • Lake Michigan, on the western side of Michigan, is absolutely beautiful.  It's like being at the ocean, minus the salt, the sharks, and the end-point.  Rather than Africa or Asia, it's Wisconsin.
  • Why the strong reaction to gun control laws?  No one is saying no guns.  No one is saying no hunting.  But how can anyone have a problem with harsher background checks, and why does anyone need to own assault weapons?  The same people that want guns for the right reasons won't be hindered by the background checks.
  • It feels pretty good to reward the body with good food.  Especially after eating a bunch of bad food.
  • I love watching the will of a child.  My niece is just a little over 1.5, and already she has a strong will.  She's got about a ten word vocabulary - momma, dada, ice, eye, hi, grandma, yaya, yes, no - but has strong command of yes and no.  You can ask her almost any question, and she can respond, via yes and no, with what she wants.  It's amazing.
  • Once you marry someone, the time you've been together goes by way faster than while dating.  When dating, each month seemed to matter a lot.  Like, we've been dating for ten months, or four months, or two; but being married, the months roll past and a year creeps up on you.
  • In a good way.
