He's currently an Assistant Professor of Biology at Malone University in Canton Ohio. He and his wife, Dr. Lynn Courter, have three children.
In addition to Birding, Jason plays (competently) the guitar, piano, and banjo; enjoys pickup basketball, baseball, and Scrabble.
