Republican friends and acquaintances, I have a very sincere question for you. I, like most Americans, love freedom. To me, this means we have a government that works for the people. All people. Diversity of thought and belief strengthens all of us. Countries that we’ve traditionally had a problem with - Russia, Iran, China and North Korea - have not valued freedom for their citizens. That’s why we have a problem with them.

President Trump has taken actions to deny Americans freedom. He is using HIS power to make EXECUTIVE ORDERS that go against DEMOCRACY. They are ANTI-FREEDOM. He doesn’t like states that don’t do what he says.

In the past couple of weeks he has used his powers to:

BAN TIK TOK

This is a social media platform like: Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. He uses Twitter all the time, and has influence on it. He’s fine with that. He does not understand Tik Tok, doesn’t know how to influence it. So has used and executive order to ban it.

This is what China does. This is what Republicans do not like about China. How does Trump get a pass?

The 1619 Project

President Trump has threatened to defund schools that use The 1619 Project as a basis for curriculum. The 1619 Project won awards and reframes how we look at things through the lens of black Americans and slavery. Instead he is enforcing a program that must be taught. Teaching history that you agree with is very dangerous.

This is what China does.

1776 Curriculum

Donald Trump signed an exectuive order to place a history that must be taught in schools. HIs order is the highest level of governemtn telling every school waht they must teach, and when and how to do so. It is called “patriotic”.

Filtering content so that people only hear positives about the government is what China does.
