A very, very fair question to what I’ve written and said in this series is: What can I do?
If you are a conservative Republicans that is Christian and pro-life, you could easily be at a crossroads. You’ve always voted republican and don’t want to stop that now. You don’t want to vote democrat, but you’re having a hard time with Trump. Very fair. He’s not a good man.
I completely understand that having a long record of voting for a particular party makes your decision not to difficult. Yet, this man is not a normal candidate. He’s essentially bullied his way onto the ballot, knowing he force everyone to make a difficult choice. He’s a terrible person to vote for, and his actions are very anti-God. If you believe you’re accountable to God for your actions, you will be accountable for a vote for Trump. Luckily, as an American, you have options.
Here are three alternatives.
Write Someone In
You have the right to vote for anyone you want for president, as long as they were born in the U.S. and are over 35 years of age. In the presidential portion of the ballot, write someone in. Choose your: pastor, husband, or Joel Osteen.
Leave It Blank
Just because you can vote for something doesn’t mean you have to. In categories I know nothing or don’t like a candidate, I often leave them blank.
Vote for Jesus
Jesus Receives between several hundred and several thousand votes every election. You can write in Jesus. As far as justification to God, there isn’t really a better option. (Unless you live in one of the states that has “None of the Above”).
You don’t have to vote for Biden, but PLEASE DON’T VOTE FOR TRUMP.
