The Fantasy Brewing Column
Last year, probably on a whim, one of you mentioned that the only thing we’re missing is writing. It was said rushed, offhandedly, almost like an afterthought. It was said in the context of needing something read on the can. But the point was, and is, true. We do need written content. We need to pay homage to the medium that started it all. I thought: give the Brewers what they asked for. And here you have it, the Fantasy Brewers Column.
This will be a bi-weekly column, released on off weeks from the pod. The topics will be broad and far ranging, about topics like: would Shawn have won, had he not traded LaMelo? Or, is Alex Caruso the best Bulls free agent signing since Jordan in ‘96? It may speculate on bad trades, or good trades, or trades that didn’t happen but should have. Rants are allowed, rebuttals are encouraged, as is cultural critique.
I’ll publish the column on therealtombratt.com, and am willing to contribute as much as needed, but encourage and welcome guest contributors as well. Just let me know, and we’ll make it happen. You can email, share a Google Doc, or whatever else works for you. Just let me know. Witte, you want a graph for the updated position rankings - send one. Adam, need to speculate how Olynyk’s game would be impacted by an Ayahuasca journey? send it. Burden, need to send an encouraging lament about what you’d wished you’d done but didn’t but still want our week’s to be blessed?, go ahead. Christian, does the men’s retreat have information that needs to be communicated? I’m here for you. Wanna share your thoughts on the Pistons or Bucks or Nets or Lakers, go ahead. I’m here boys.
This column is for us all. You asked, it appeared.
