This Week's Thoughts...12

  • My wife is getting an afro, a hair style she hasn't had since she was a child.  I am very excited to see how it looks.
  • Like: very excited.
  • Maybe we should just change our democracy to a monarchy and make Beyonce officially our queen.  There's been a lot of talk of her unofficial title, so why not just make it happen.  I trust her instincts and character a lot more than most of our leaders, and, seeing Beyonce in a state of the union would be awesome.
  • There's one week left of school.  THANK GOD.  I am very ready for the end.  And, and interesting end it will be.  I have to speak to the board of education on Monday, and then they'll vote on keeping me around or not.  Interesting.  I might bomb, because I do get nervous speaking in front of things like this, BUT, it will be interesting, for sure.
  • Summer is the best season, hands down.  It's nice, warm, people are out and about.  I was biking around today, and everyone just seemed happy to be alive.  My windows are open, there's a nice breeze. This is awesome.  And: the beach.
  • The beach is so great.  I was at Lake Michigan Monday for Memorial Day, and was able to swim for a while.  That was very, very enjoyable.
  • Also enjoyable is the NBA Finals.  The Cavs looked good in the third, but that was about it.  I still think they need to play Mozgoff (sp) more.  He's huge.  He doesn't have to play the whole game, just a bit, like a quarter.  I think the Cavs need to win Sunday to have a chance.
  • I'm getting a little sick of smoothies.
  • Moms are the best. (Especially mine:)
  • Fixed gear bikes are great except for uphill.  Uphill, they're tough.  There's this walking path by my house on a rather steady incline, and this incline is very hard to bike up in one fell swoop.
