I love when people 'rush' to get a tattoo. It's such a hilarious gesture of spontaneity: I'm going to be impulsive by getting this Bald Eagle on my forearm...
...Forever!!!
I think our government should have a job that can be called Whatever, but basically makes people self employed for a year or two and allows them to pursue their passions, funded by the Gov. 'Employees' have a 12-24 month window to make their venture profitable, and if it isn't by the end of that period, that's it.
It'd be sort of the perfect governmental-expression of the American Dream.
Often, when people have a near-death experience, they report being surrounded by a presence that they describe as either Love or God; they say these two words are the closest they can get to describing it, but that we truly don't have words for what they see, feel, and experience. This 'Love' envelopes them and takes away all of their pain and discomfort.
At the same time, time disappears in the way we think of time, and all earthly experiences are available at once, so it's like they live their life over.
Sort of.
While this happens, the interesting thing is that they're experiencing every action - both good and bad - fromthe perspective of the receiver of the action.
How much would this change what we do, how we act, and where we stand on things?
I'm finally accepting that it's (probably - please God) not going to snow in GR, MI again this year.
